Its spacious floor plan is enhanced by contemporary appliances and decor. The main bathroom boasts a unique sink, illuminated with petroglyph designs lighting, set atop a petrified wood basin. For parties of three, a cozy twin bed is nestled in a quaint nook. The upper level of the Star Tower houses a serene reading area, a private bedroom with a Queen bed, and an adjoining half bath. Step out onto the deck from the bedroom to be greeted by a breathtaking view of Sleeping Ute Mountain. As night falls, the clear skies offer an unparalleled stargazing experience.
About Sky Village
A Glimpse into Ancient Elegance
Sky Village is a recent addition to the Canyon of the Ancients Guest Ranch’s lodging offerings, situated in the ranch’s northern section. Comprising two new guesthouses, Sky Kiva and Star Tower, these dwellings seamlessly blend with the canyon landscape, reminiscent of ancient structures.
The Sky Village project draws its inspiration from ancient ruins scattered across the Colorado Plateau, including iconic sites like Mesa Verde, Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, Hovenweep National Monument, Chaco Canyon, and Bears Ears. Classic architectural features such as keyhole doors, peephole windows, Pueblo Bonito’s corner windows, circular kivas, and integrated rock walls have been thoughtfully incorporated to offer an authentic experience.
With ancient ruins just a short walk away on the ranch, a breathtaking view of the revered Sleeping Ute Mountain, expansive terrains to traverse, pristine dark skies for stargazing, and proximity to the Canyons of the Ancients National Monument, Sky Village stands as an idyllic retreat. Here, guests can immerse themselves in tranquility, rich cultural heritage, and unparalleled outdoor exploration.
